Chobits (Anime) - I really liked it. It's rather funny in the beginning and then develops nicely into a love story with some romance and drama and all that jazz. It wasn't something I could watch in one sitting, what with it being 27 (I think) episodes long and all, but there was also this thing where I really didn't care to see the next episode but I still wanted to know where the story would go. I guess it suffers from predictability... if you've seen any romance anime or other medium for romance, you know what happens. It does have it's interesting parts, but it gets rather boring after a while unless you really care about the characters. Which is sometimes hard to do. I'd say it's worth a look.
Black Cat (Manga) - It's like Trigun. It would be Trigun if the main character's sidekick guy were two ladies from an insurance company... and the main character also had three guns instead of just his big ass revolver with... a blade on it or something. He does make up for his lack of firepower with a variety of special abilities that reside on Magic Street and Bullshit Avenue. Overall it's rather an interesting read with an interesting story and interesting characters... even if some of them are cheap as all fuck. ...but that doesn't mean the main character doesn't lose, nor does it mean he never gets hurt. It seems everyone in this story gets hurt in some way, with few exceptions. I really like it and it should be well worth a read. What's really odd is that my parents got it for me as a Christmas present... epic win for them, eh?
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Anime) - FUCK YEAH! No, seriously, I love this series. Though it tends to bounce around the story like crazy and the episodes are generally in a non-sequential order (with the first being really bad, on purpose). It really has a lot of awesome shit going on, which is awesome. Don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but everyone in the show is special in some way (the main characters, anyway... other's are special in a retarded way) and that makes the show that much more interesting. The story is basically about Kyon. Yes it is. Shut up. YES I KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THE SHOW IS CALLED, SHUT YOU MOUTH! *cough* Anyway... the show is mostly about Kyon, the male protagonist and constant cynic, who has to deal with all of Haruhi's bullshit. ALL OF IT. This generally leaves him with an expression similar to: T_T <- that. The story... what of it that is actually story... is rather unique and takes full advantage of the fact that the main characters have special powers and shit. And that is fucking awesome. There's also so romantic stuff in there too, but not too much. On that, I'll say that everyone has to go watch it now. Also, don't judge it just because of the first episode... it's supposed to be horrible. I also love Yuki Nagato! *squee!*
Ouran High School Host Club (Anime) - This, too, is awesome. In complete opposite to Haruhi Suzumiya above, this show revolves around a young lady named Haruhi. YES, I'M SURE I GOT THIS RIGHT... god damn it. Haruhi Fujoika (or something like that) is a poor (literally, she has very little money) student going to a rich (very rich) academy called Ouran thanks to her exceptional grades. While looking for a place to study, she stumbles into the third music room and comes face-to-face with the Host Club; a bunch of guys who hang around with a bunch of girls and tell them that they're pretty and shit... they also feed them stuff. Don't worry though, Tamaki will FUCKING REMIND YOU why the shit the club exists and what it does. (no, not the Tamaki that's watching my DA... idiots) After she stumbles into the room, they think she's a guy and she nearly gets molested by Tamaki (the "king" if you will) and knocks over an expensive vase and breaks it. Being in dept and not being able to pay, she becomes their bitch. Not sexually. That would probably make a good hentai version... if they didn't think she was a he. Anyway, after being their bitch for a while, Tamaki sees that he (they still don't know) would make a good host and puts Haruhi in that position. Then the story picks up, they find out she's a girl, and then everything just keeps rolling. I won't spoil it, but it's definitely worth a look. Though I will say the very, very end kind of pissed me off. You'll probably see why. The show has some romantic undertones (duh) and is generally a comedy. You shall enjoy now, yes?
...else wise, not much of anything interesting going on. The Hitman movie was decent. ...that's it, really. Good night/day/whatever everyone.
